Who to Select for Daily Fantasy Football (DraftKings & FanDuel)
There are some of you who don't wager on games but are willing to put some money on fantasy football. Well if that is you, consider this lineup for DraftKings and FanDuel.
QB: Andrew Luck
RB: Ezekiel Elliott
RB: Jay Ajayi
WR: Antonio Brown
WR: Doug Baldwin
WR: Stefon Diggs
TE: Dennis Pitta
FLEX: Dwayne Allen
DST: Miami
Now, there are several other great options but here is my rationale for going with these players.
QB
Andrew Luck is at home and any time you get a solid QB at home against a weak D, you take him. What makes Luck even more attractive is that he plays on a team with an even weaker D. This makes this game ripe for a shootout. According to the GE model and offense - defense differential, noth San Diego and Indy have a high differential that favors the offense. Luck has a plethora of weapons and has the potential of hitting 400 yards with 3 - 4 TDs.
RBs
Ezekiel Elliott could have his breakout game tomorrow night. Dak Prescott has now shown he can utilize Dez Bryant. This will force Chicago to spread out its defense which we saw got shredded last Monday Night at home against Philly. Of course this will open up running lanes for Elliott. This is also a Sunday Night game and Elliott is not one to shy away from the spotlight as he demonstrated two years ago in Ohio State's successful run for the national title. Oh, Dallas also has an amazing offensive line!
Jay Ajayi is really solid value. He hasn't done much in his short NFL career but this could be the game he shines. Ajayi had a brilliant career at Boise State and is capable of being a solid receiver out of the backfield. Miami head coach Adam Gase doesn't really have many options to go with and Cleveland will find itself playing from behind with a 3rd string QB at the helm and so many other injuries so this could mean that Gase decides to run the ball frequently to maintain a healthy lead.
WRs
Antonio Brown is a stud. Do I need to say more? Maybe a better question to ask is what can Brown do for you? :-) A lot! His matchup against Nolan Carroll on Philly, who is a trash cornerback, is just too good to pass up. Brown will burn him often and Big Ben will throw Brown's way at least a dozen times so get Brown in your lineups even if he is expensive. Your competition most likely will and so should you.
Doug Baldwin is a bit risky given how inept Seattle's offense has looked lately. However, Baldwin is a very good WR at home and last year showed that he can be the top scoring option on this offense. Oh, Seattle owns SF at CenturyLink Field and SF came back to earth last week in Carolina. Not many people will have Baldwin in their lineups and he is good value.
Stefon Diggs will most likely cement himself as Minnesota's top offensive weapon with AP done for pretty much this season and his career. I see the Vikings changing their offensive identity quit quickly by having Bradford and Diggs connect often. Carolina has a good D but Diggs is good value and Josh Norman is now in Washington.
TEs
Dennis Pitta has become Flacco's favorite receiver so far this year as Pitta leads Baltimore in targets. Pitta is finally healthy and Jacksonville has a weak D. Value is too good to pass up
Dwayne Allen is another solid tight end with awesome value. You could flex him or Pitta in the same line up. Allen is cheap and with Moncrief out and Verrett on Hilton, Luck will be looking Dorsett's and Allen's way often. Allen, in fact, should be a great red zone option.
DSTs
Miami is a good option given the opponent and value. Now, when you select a Defense/Special Teams, you really don't want to overpay. There is too much randomness. Even though Seattle and Carolina are usually solid and have nice matchup at home, why not save some money on a team like Miami that has a solid front 7, held its own on the road against Super Bowl contenders like Seattle and New England, and is at home against a shaky team like Cleveland. What makes this matchup even juicier is that Cleveland is already down to its 3rd string QB and has so many other weapons injured. Cody Kessler will struggle in his first NFL start.
There you have it. Good luck tomorrow and try this lineup tomorrow in your daily fantasy tournaments!
